Stamp Level
I’ve been working away on the Stamp level, polishing up the visuals and getting more enemy variety in place. I’m pretty happy with how this level has turned out, and it’s been really fun figuring out the visuals even though it can still feel a bit too busy sometimes when there’s loads going on, so I’ll need to try and refine that a bit further.
These stacks of letters that wobble about were pretty fun to put together - all the letters above (or below) the one you shoot will bounce to the floor and explode if they’re not destroyed quickly enough. There was of course an annoying bug that took me literally over a year to fix tho, and I was very happy when I figured it out!
The Stamp boss isn’t quite there design-wise yet, but it’s all in place programming-wise. I took inspiration from the first boss in A Link To The Past, so each stamp has it’s own hp and the attacks change in form and intensity depending on how many there are in play.
This is the first reel of the level in it’s current form with all of the visuals pretty much in place.
